By now, many of you have received your new chipped credit and debit cards from your financial institutions. However, some financial institutions are delayed in getting these new cards out and thieves have come up with a way to exploit that.
Remember, if you receive an unsolicited email or phone call from anyone (bank, utility company, etc) asking for personal information, DO NOT provide it to them. Instead, call the company back on a confirmed phone number you have for them and verify if the call or email was legitimate.
